I always have a drink or two too much. Always.
On my 4th day of my visit, I mainly walked around in the Bay Area. My friend Frances was kind enough to drive me around to Berkeley, a University Town (or College as they call it in America) on the East Bay, and I fell in love with the town immediately. We first went to Beete's Diner around 4th Street and had a lovely brunch with Janice. That diner reminds me of the one in Back to the Future- 50s design, with the diner table, the seat and the bar, the kind of the place that I always wanted to visit in America (they also have a record machine!). And of course the food was great, which made the experience brilliant!
After brunch they took me to Rasputin Records to check out some old vinyls! I cannot remember what happened but I believe I was in Heaven for about 30 mins and I just went on a vinyl shopping spree. They are way too cheap in America, some vinyls are even only $0.5USD. I went on a bought 7 of them, BB King, Chuck Berry, Woody Allen Stand Up Comedy, etc...I guess my room will be filled with great music for a while.
That same day I also met Richard officially for the first time. He is my friend Janice's boyfriend and I have been talking to him online for a while about mainly pointless and meaningless stuff (aka bullshitting). Over the past few months, I heard Janice saying a lot of great things about him and I must admit seeing him in person verified what she said. Seeing him and Janice together makes me feel jealous and at the same time relieved that love does exist here and there. I guess the whole relationship thingy isnt that complicated and it doesnt have to be upsetting all the time. I could be wrong, but this time I doubt it.
On saturday night (my 5th night of visit), I went to have dinner with some friends in Mission District...and that's where I had a drink or two too much. The night was amazing and I had a lot of good drinks...well...a bit too much that I went so sick afterwards. Anyway...I think I have wrote too much here (or actually...I cannot write anymore), why not just take a look at the pictures of that night...perhaps you will get an idea.
